In an interview with the WBAP Morning News, IPI president Tom Giovanetti warns host Brian Estridge of the folly of President Trump's steel and aluminum tariffs, and how the tariffs' impact will harm U.S. consumers and downstream industries. "The history of trade and tariffs demonstrate tariffs are a very bad idea," said Giovanetti. "To try to help producers, you've now hurt all the industries relying on the producers. And other countries will certainly now retaliate, which will hurt us."
