James May
When he\u2019s not working on his own gin brand, or his latest book, or guest editing the Today programme former petrol head James May is perhaps best known as the thinking man\u2019s car guy from Top Gear and Grand Tour.
His trademark wry humour and self-deprecation make him an interesting TV presenter, no matter what he turns his attention to and he\u2019s an excellent travel guide on the various James May Our Man In... series.
Born in Bristol, one of four children, he spent his teenage years in South Yorkshire and as someone who studied music at university and who\u2019s apparently a rather accomplished musician.
