Today, we continue the conversation with the Original Nomad. Jane Pelusey and her husband Michael have been professional remote living since 2000. They have written more than 80 books (including HEMA maps which map out the remote areas yet to be blazed in Australia), became trail assessors, did the 1000km Bibbulmun track in her 50s…

And all that with a diagnosis of Juvenile Arthritis at age 6 and told she might have to live in a wheelchair for her entire life!

When her Father died at age 11, she decided she wanted to become a nurse. And that she did - becoming Manager and Trauma coordinator as an ICU nurse in Perth Australia. She ended up leaving nursing in her 30s however, and went back to study and became a Travel Writer.

I’ve always wanted to get behind what keeps a professional adventurer ticking along bc many would say “she’s living dream”!
