Interview with Michaela Clarke
Michaela Clarke\xa0is a 2 time nominee of the Alberta Country Music Awards. Her accolades include: opening for the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, being nominated for Female Artist of the year, Fans Choice, and song of the year at the Alberta Country Music awards. Her single \u201cLong Gone\u201d was featured in the movie \u201cFire with Fire\u201d, starring Bruce Willis in 2012. She has performed at the Canadian Country Music Awards on the Diamonds in the Rough stage for two consecutive years.\n\nIn 2011, Michaela released her first EP album to Canadian Radio and went on to release 7 singles to radio stations across Canada. Michaela\u2019s charismatic personality, her love of music, and her knowledge of the industry landed her a position at her local radio station as the Afternoon Drive Show Host. In January of 2015, Michaela made the decision to move to Nashville so she could pursue her songwriting career full time, while collaborating with other artists and taking in the city that started it all.\n\n\xa0\n\n\xa0As a former Juvenile Diabetes \xa0Research Foundation Youth Ambassador at the Edmonton chapter, Michaela strived \xa0to raise awareness for other children and young adults, who like her, live with Type One Diabetes. She has \xa0performed her original song \u201cToughest Kids Alive\u201d on Global News Television, as well as at the JDRF Gala in \xa0Edmonton, Alberta. Since moving to Nashville, Michaela has continued her mission by volunteering with the \xa0Juvenile Diabetes Middle Tennessee Chapter.\n\n\n\xa0Her album\xa0Detours\xa0will be released in early 2017 featuring "Second To The Whiskey" with special guest vocalist & Country legend\xa0Terri Clark.
