Tanisha Swaby is a co-founder of the Black Lives Matter movement in Costa Rica and a member of the board of directors of the Afro-Costa Rican Women's Center, an NGO that has been dedicated to promoting the human rights of Afro-descendant people in Latin America for over 25 years. She has been a lecturer on anti-racism and intersectionality in multiple academic, institutional and political advocacy forums at the local and international levels, including the University of Costa Rica and Texas A&M University. She is also a seasoned conference producer, having developed international programs addressing talent management and inclusion best practices.
