Show me your friends and I will show you who you are. \xa0Commander Kirk Lippold, United States Navy (Ret.) is a friend of our friend, Tony Mattivi. \xa0Captain Lippold was the Commanding Officer of the USS Cole, the Destroyer that was bombed by Al Qaeda October 12, 2000. \xa0Many believe it was the pre-curser to 9/11. \xa0Commander Lippold and Tony Mattivi became friends as they worked together to bring the Terrorists who carried out this cowardly act, to Justice. \xa0The Truth about Leadership is it exposes who you really are when you answer the call. \xa0And Tony Mattivi and Kirk Lippold answered. \xa0We use words like courage, honor and integrity as labels but these are not labels\u2014 they are the elements swarming frenetically inside of heroes as they evaluate the situation and give us cues to the next right step. \xa0We want that Leadership in our lives.
