Kyle Pittman: Native American Identity, Not A Monolithic Voice

Kyle Pittman is a Nez Perce and Yakama descendent and was raised on the Puyallup Indian Reservation in Tacoma, Washington. Kyle is a former student of Northwest Indian College and a graduate from The Evergreen State College\u2019s Native Pathways Program where he earned a BA in Native American & Indigenous Studies. He focuses his studies on American Indian histories and cultures, federal Indian policy, and Indigenous research methodologies while continuing to be an active participant in Native communities.

Kyle offers insightful and educational methods to help gain a deeper respect and understanding of the past and present experiences of the Native Peoples. His storytelling skills are infused with anecdotal wisdom and historic facts that inspire the listener to be more thoughtful and aware of the issues surrounding the importance of accurate facts.
