Published: March 30, 2020, 7:32 a.m.

Now more than ever you need to work really hard at being a happy successful hairdresser. This is hard when we are all at home in isolation, right? No, it's never been such a good time!
\n
\nWith so much down time, nows the time to absorb new information and ideas. With a wealth of digital and online education in the palm of our hands, planning daily training into your routine will see you come out of isolation a much more happier successful hairdresser.
\n
\nTo help us with this is today's guests, Ryan Forsythe. Senior Director and Head of Education at the Trevor Sorbie Flagship Covent Garden salon, Ryan is a key member and mentor of the award winning Trevor Sorbie Artistic Team. With a natural creativity and willingness to challenge himself, Ryan says, "Giving yourself a planned structure to what you want to achieve can make you become a happy successful hairdresser". Today he's about to inspire you on ways to challenge yourself to being a happier successful hairdresser whilst in isolation.
\n
\nRyan sees happy as the key component to being successful. I agree, but what makes you happy and how you define success is so different from person to person. One thing for sure though is 'learning actually makes you happier'. Researchers found that one of the things that people need to be happy is to be engaged in difficult-but-doable activities. This is an opportunity for us to become so absorbed in our learning. Learning leads to increases in self-esteem and self-efficacy. Something we all need plenty of right now.
\n
\nSo remember, 'as we become happier, we become more successful' so don't have a fear of failures. Lets start that journey to being a happy successful hairdresser by pressing play!
