Happiness is The Way

Morning Mantra: "Happiness is the way, not the destination." Nothing will make you happy until you decide to be happy.

Happiness is not found when your situation is perfect. Happiness is a powerful and positive way to deal with any situation, whatever it may be.

How can you be happy when the world seems to be crashing down around you? Even though you may not be happy about what’s going on, you can find something to be happy about.

Is the sun shining?  Are you safe? Loved? Blessed? Healthy? Be happy about the opportunity to make a difference and make the world a better place for others. 

This may seem over simplified, but it works.  Thinking about reasons you are happy can change the chemistry in your brain by releasing serotonin and dopamine- the happy hormones.
 
Stop judging how easy or hard life might seem, and get in some happy habits.  Take time to get centered, exercise, eat well, get enough sleep, and look around you for reasons to be happy. 

Be happy not because everything is good, but because you can find something good in everything.
