This week on\xa0Here\u2019s The Thing, Alec talks with writer Paula Pell \u2013 who has been making people laugh at\xa0Saturday Night Live\xa0for the last 17 years.\xa0Pell landed her dream job as a writer at\xa0SNL\xa0after working at a Florida theme park. Her agent told her that Lorne Michaels wanted to meet her \u2013 \u201cit is not an audition, but he wants to fly you up and talk to you.\u201d Pell wasn\u2019t sure what she was headed up for, but she got a job writing for the show.
Because of her longevity on the show, Pell calls herself \u201cNanny SNL,\u201d but she\u2019s the first to admit, \u201cif you have a good night there you feel like you\u2019re 20 again.\u201d\xa0Today, Pell also spends time writing for movies -- she\u2019s an executive producer on the upcoming "This is 40."
