Intro has brief history about the lead actor, Lon Clark (photo)and the basis of the program. The program was heard on the Mutual Broadcasting System starting on April 11, 1943 and ran until 1955 in a wide variety of timeslots and in 30 min and 15 min versions. Helen Choat (photo) played Nick's assistant Patsy Bowen from 1943-46. The show was based on pulp fiction novels and magazine short stories. To run for a decade, it had to be a popular show!
