"I was on the streets of Detroit using Fentanyl, Crack, and Meth. It was the darkest and most horrific 3 years of my life."

Cara started using at 13, she quickly spiraled out of control but managed to pull it together at 19 to be a mother and become a Registered Nurse.

"I was a good mom, had a good home, all the amazing things that come with sobriety."

Then she had hip surgery....

"I relapsed on my pain meds."

Join us live this week and listen to Cara #takeofftheblinders around the realities of street life, and how easily unchecked mental health challenges can land you there.

We'll talk about what she was like, what happened, and what she found out there that led her to the productive and meaningful life she has today.

"I never forget the nightmare I lived 2 years ago, I have way too much to live for today. I have 2 little girls that need their mom around, ya know?"

We do. We are honored to have Cara join us as we light a candle for the lost, and walk into the darkness this week right here,

On Hard Knox Talks.
