The 5 A's of Stress Management

Lately I have been in a stressful season lately and I have been looking for ways to better manage my stress levels. Stress is a normal part of life and sometimes there are things out of our control that cause a lot of stress in our lives, but we can either spiral out of control or face it head on. Today, I wanted to share some tips on how you can get through whatever stressful situation you might find yourself in.

In this episode I discuss:

  1. Awareness: Identify the sources of your stress so that you can pinpoint exactly what areas you need to focus on
  2. Avoid: While avoiding stress that needs to be dealt with isn't healthy there are likely things you can take off your plate that are causing undo stress
  3. Alter: If you can't avoid a situation alter how you look at it or behave under stress
  4. Adapt: If there's nothing you can do to change the situation change your attitude\xa0
  5. Accept: Some stress is unavoidable; acceptance can be difficult but it easier than beating yourself up for something out of your control
