There are very few people anywhere, let alone hairdressers, that are known by \u2018one name.\u2019 But if you are in this industry, you will almost definitely have heard of the name \u2018GUIDO\u2019... And if by some remote chance you haven\u2019t heard the name, you would have definitely seen his work. \xa0 I don\u2019t use the word \u2018genius\u2019 very readily, but when it comes to hair, \u2018Guido is an absolute genius!\u2019 \xa0 I first met Guido in the early eighties, we both worked at Vidal Sassoon in London, and I remember him as being someone who stood out. There was always something special about him, and [aside from a great personality], it just wasn\u2019t obvious exactly what that \u2018something special\u2019 was. \xa0 He certainly wasn\u2019t arrogant, but he had an opinion, and he wasn\u2019t intimidated by anyone. He always seemed \u2018confident in who he was\u2019 and he was forging his own path\u2026 \xa0 He has since become an absolute visionary and a true artist in the fullest sense of the word and has worked with everybody. I mean \u2018everybody\u2019 of any notoriety in the fashion business. \xa0 His work often pushes at the boundaries of beauty, it\u2019s always flawless in its execution, and understandably his influence and the direction he takes have reached far beyond hairdressing. \xa0 But he has also impacted all of today\u2019s great hairdressers the world over. \xa0 One reason I like podcasts is that you get the chance to get into people\u2019s minds and understand how they think, and to me, that\u2019s often where the actual magic is\u2026 \xa0 I love to understand the story behind what makes a person do what they do...How they think about it. \xa0 And the more you do that, the more inspiring, but unfortunately sometimes the less obtainable it is...because you can\u2019t always teach it. \xa0 In today\u2019s podcast, we will discuss: Guido\u2019s journey to the top The importance of collaborations What drives his creativity Social media and the impact it\u2019s had on fashion magazines What influence the coronavirus might have on fashion \xa0 In This Episode: [02:56] Guido, it\u2019s great to have you on the show!
