Today I am joined by Dr Jim Ajioka, co-Chair of the University of Cambridge synthetic biology strategic research initiative and co-founder of Colorifix, who has kindly agreed to discuss how his company, Colorifix, is able to reduce the energy and water needed and toxic chemicals produced in dyeing processes. He also discusses his research into how interspersed repetitive elements have evolved into our DNA and if there is a possibility they are able to in some cases lead to mutations and cancers in our bodies as well as his involvement in the Drosophila Genome Project!
