While Lara, born to a Punjabi father, retired Wing Commander L.K. Dutta, and Anglo-Indian mother Jennifer Dutta, went on to create history by becoming the second-ever Indian to be crowned Miss Universe; her fellow pageant contestants too bagged winning titles.
