043: What's Your VOICE TYPE?

Published: Feb. 8, 2017, 12:26 p.m.

Do you know what voice type you are? If you've ever been in a choir, you've probably been singing one of the four basic voice types: soprano, alto, tenor, or bass.\xa0

But if you have always believed that your vocal range alone determindes our voice type, you will need to learn that there's so much more to it.\xa0

Your timbre, voice color, agility, and comfortable tessitura play an important role, as well as your expressiveness.\xa0

Most importantly, don't put yourself in a box, since voice types can change over the course of a lifetime. You may start out a soprano and morph into a mezzo as you get older.\xa0
