Out of\xa0the depths I cry to you, O\xa0LORD! 2\xa0 O Lord, hear my voice! Let your ears be\xa0attentive\xa0to\xa0the voice of my pleas for mercy!\xa0If you, O\xa0LORD, should\xa0mark iniquities, O Lord, who could\xa0stand? But with you there\xa0is\xa0forgiveness, that you may be feared.\xa0I\xa0wait for the\xa0LORD,\xa0my soul waits, and\xa0in his word I hope; my soul\xa0waits for the Lord more\xa0than\xa0watchmen for\xa0the morning, more than watchmen for the morning.\xa0O Israel,\xa0hope in the\xa0LORD!\xa0For\xa0with the\xa0LORD\xa0there is steadfast love, and with him is plentiful\xa0redemption. And he will\xa0redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
Psalm 130:1-8 (ESV)
1. Hope is learned in suffering and praying
2. Hope is practiced by waiting and watching
3. Hope is nurtured through remembering and singing
Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive\xa0fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the\xa0stalls, yet I will rejoice in the\xa0LORD;\xa0I will take joy in the God of my salvation.\xa0GOD, the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like the deer's; he makes me\xa0tread on\xa0my\xa0high places. To the choirmaster: with\xa0stringed instruments.
Habakuk 3:17-19
