During his \u201clong and lonely\u201d years in prison, Nelson Mandela\u2019s passion\xa0
for the liberation of his people expanded, becoming \u201ca hunger for the freedom of all people, white and black.\u201d\xa0 He came to see \u201cthat the oppressor must be liberated just as surely as the oppressed.\u201d\xa0 A person who dehumanizes another is \u201ca prisoner of hatred\u201d and is \u201clocked behind the bars of prejudice and narrow-mindedness.\u201d \xa0
