You could be on vacation, or living in different places at different times of the year; and you wouldn't be subject to the whims of your employer moving its offices to a place you didn't want to go! Petra Mayer has lived on several different continents for various different jobs, so when she finally decided enough was enough and sought to create her own business, she wanted something "location independent" so she wouldn't have to move the next time her employer did!
