S03.1: Season Three: Back on our Bullsh*t
SEASON THREE! \n\nIt\u2019s here, we\u2019re back, and we\u2019re back on our bullsh*t because it\u2019s 2020 and it\u2019s all we have, honestly. \n\nSeason One gave us a full lAD deep dive (if you\u2019ve never read Kresley Cole\u2019s Immortals After Dark, pandemic anxiety is a really good reason to start), and Season Two gave us The Books That Blooded Us -- the books that made us the romance readers we are.\n\nSeason Three will pick up where Season Two left off. This season, we'll tackle 15 (or so) books that did heavy lifting for the genre and for readers. Some of the books are transformative, some are juggernauts, and some are just truly excellent romance that shows how vast and magnificent the romance pool can get. All of them will show just how the genre works, and how it\u2019s always changing the game. \n\nWe\u2019ve also got some great interstitials planned, including some fabulous, brilliant guests on deck\u2026and when Munro is released, we\u2019ll (obviously) be here for you!\n\nSo...where do we begin? We begin in two weeks with a text that no one can deny transformed romance and the way the world looked at it: Fifty Shades of Grey. We'll talk fan fiction, Christian Grey, 1st person POV, billionaires, the early 2010s, why the book mobilized so many readers, why it made so many others angry, and the work it did to set the genre spinning in multiple directions over the last decade.
