Interview with Jason Herring of Charlotte, NC Based Collective, The Mystery Plan

The 8th full-length album by North Carolina's The Mystery Plan is called "Haunted Organic Machines" released on 10mm Omega Recordings.\xa0 I spoke to Jason Herring, one of the founders and producers (Along with Rob Tavaglione ) of the Charlotte-based collective that formed in 2010 initially as a duo (Jason Herring and Paul Jensen). Then Jason's wife, Amy Herring joined the band. Several years later, the line-up grew with Otis Hughes, Patty McLaughlin Thomas and Jefferson Chester.

The Mystery Plan's previous releases was produced by the legendary producer John Fryer (4AD, This Mortal Coil, Black Needle Noise). The collaboration shaped their albums: the 2017 "Queensland Ballroom", "Zsa Zsa," 2020 and "You Also Have Eyes" released on 2021.
