German indie alternative rock duo Para Lia Releases "In Clash With The Zeitgeist"
German indie alternative rock duo Para Lia will be releasing their latest album "In Clash With The Zeitgeist" on August 25, 2023 via the Berlin label About Us Records.
"In Clash With The Zeitgeist" was mastered by Thommy Hein (Die \xc4rzte, Nina Hagen, Udo Lindenberg ) which blends their love for the late 80s and early 90s indie rock with some 60s influences, psychedelic, garage rock and early prog rock elements.\xa0
For their love of Greece, their band name is Para Lia, meaning "coast" or "beach" in Greek (\u03c0\u03b1\u03c1\u03b1\u03bb\u03b9\u0301\u03b1) -a name full of mystery but optimism, which both has history and evokes a balance of the masculine and feminine. Para Lia is multi-instrumentalist Ren\xe9 Methner and vocalist\xa0 Cindy Methner.
For this duo, symbolism and lyricism are of importance. Their second single,'Yellow Rose' is an ode to losing a loved one who can never be forgotten and keeping a piece of them in your heart. The yellow rose stands for loyalty, close friendships and the circle of trust. Here, Para Lia creates the yellow rose perfect symbiosis of these - melancholy with warmth, sadness with joy, and the prospects of hope - all at the same time.\xa0
