Charlie Nieland, Record Producer, Songwriter, Her Vanished Grace & Lusterlit

Charlie Nieland is a New York City-based record producer, indie music veteran, song writer and composer. Renowned for tastefully blending post punk, dream pop and progressive rock with sweeping melodies and restless and visceral rhythms, Charlie Nieland has been writing, playing and producing music for decades, with a focus on the atmospheric and the imaginative as one of the founding members of "Her Vanished Grace."\xa0

Nieland\xa0 has written and produced material with such notable artists as Blondie, Debbie Harry, Rufus Wainwright, Dead Leaf Echo and\xa0 The Scissor Sisters, just to name a few.\xa0 He scored the feature film "The Safety of Objects" featuring Glenn Close, the pilot episode of "The L Word" on Showtime and the VH-1 documentary "NY77: The Coolest Year in Hell." Charlie was awarded a Gold Record in the UK for his production work on Blondie's "Greatest Hits Sight & Sound" and achieved a Top 10 Billboard Dance Chart Position with Debbie Harry's single "Two Times Blue," which he co-wrote and co-produced.

As a solo artist, he has 4 new singles out called\xa0 "So Few Have So Much," "Pawns"\xa0 "Divisions" and "Tightrope, which features a video directed by B.A. Miale, starring\xa0 international cabaret and circus performer Amy Gordon.\xa0 Susan Hwang plays the Janggu or Korean drums and sings.\xa0 Hwang is also the founder of the Bushwick Book Club created in 2009 and Nieland is technical director . "Tightrope" was written and inspired by the novel, "Little Liar," a novel by Julia Gray.\xa0 Nieland and Hwang formed a literature-inspired musical group called Lusterlit.\xa0
