\nA reading of a 2017 Washington Post article, and 2009 Quarterly Journal of Economics article, on horror movies. The idea of horror movies reducing violent crime appears counterintuitive. However, the concept of a replacement behavior becomes critical in understanding of this study. The whole idea brings about more questions than it answers. Do not be afraid to explore this new idea. Wait! On second thought, be afraid. It is Halloween!
