On episode 11 of the Common Cents Finance Podcast, Nicolas and Anthony got the opportunity to speak with Dr. Devin Rafferty, an associate professor in economics at Saint Peter\'s University.  In their conversation, Dr. Rafferty was able to explain Modern Monetary Theory, a macroeconomic framework that says monetarily sovereign countries are not constrained by revenues.  In other words, under this theory, governments at the federal level could print as much money as needed since they are the monopoly issuers of their currency.
