EPISODE 13:

Intro/ Premise of the show:

Hello, I’m cozy novelist, Etta Welk, alongside my skeptical mother, Deb. Each week, we’ll explore cozy and traditional mystery books, series, authors, origins, culture, or tropes, but we’ll keep it short and sweet, just like a real cozy.

Question and Answer session. One of us will pose a weekly question that we both answer. We’re reading cozies, you’re reading cozies, but we’re not reading the same cozies… so NO SPOILERS!

Update

·        Busy busy life. Students are back and it’s fine.

·        Deb? How have you been doing this past week?

QUESTION: What constitutes a good ending for cozy?

·        Solvable

·        Actually gets solved

·        Some sort of closure for longitude storylines introduced

·        Justice is served

·        Return to normalcy—but not too much aftermath

·        Cliff hangers? … but every once in a while it’s nice to have an out of the blue ending

What we’re reading: The Subject of Malice (A Lila Maclean Academic Mystery Book 4) Cynthia Kuhn
