Warm Winters

Although it's been pretty snowy here on the East Coast of the United States recently, our winter didn't start out this warm. In fact, Christmas Day was a mild 60 degrees fahrenheit. What weather systems impact our average temperatures, and what does human-caused climate change have to do with this?
