Steve Bluestein converted his childhood pain into a hugely successful comedy career. Steve has been making people laugh for decades. Steve shares insight into his life that set him on his purpose: to make the world laugh.
Steve and I discuss his books, comedy, his career, and life in general. We start with a deep dive into the Brady Bunch Variety Hour and the reason there was a 'fake Jan'. We also discuss Joan River's movie Rabbit Test and They Call Me Bruce. Steve shares many stories of the numerous artists he has worked with including Phyliss Diller, Donna Summer, Kenny Loggins, Norman Lear, and Rita Moreno. Steve was a regular at the Comedy Store and a founding member of the legendary improv group, The Groundlings. We discuss Steve's books Point of Pines, Memoir of a Nobody, and Take My Prostate Please.
