Daniel Handler has written dozens of books \u2013 from adult novels like \u201cThe Basic Eight\u201d and \u201cWhy We Broke Up\u201d, to picture books and other collaborations with visual artists. But, he\u2019s best known as the author of \u201cA Series of Unfortunate Events.\u201d Handler wrote the best-selling children\u2019s novels \u2013 13 in total \u2013\xa0 under the pen name Lemony Snicket. \xa0
On July 24, 2024, Handler came to the KQED Studios in San Francisco to talk to his friend and fellow writer Sarah Manguso. Both Handler and Manguso had recently published new works - Handler's is a memoir titled \u201cAnd Then? And Then? What Else?\u201d Sarah Manguso\u2019s newest book is a novel called "Liars".
