On today's episode, we chat with Mack Brock! Centricity Music recording artist and songwriter Mack Brock is one of the founding members of GRAMMY Award-winning Elevation Worship. Co-penning some of Elevation\u2019s earliest hits, like RIAA certified Double Platinum\xae single \u201cO Come To The Altar,\u201d Platinum-certified \u201cDo It Again\u201d and Gold-certified \u201cResurrecting,\u201d Brock has also written songs recorded by Phil Wickham, Jesus Culture, Passion, Pat Barrett and Bryan & Katie Torwalt, among others.
\nAfter a decade with Elevation Worship, Brock released his debut,\xa0Greater Things, which garnered him a radio hit with the title-cut. The five-track\xa0Covered\xa0EP followed the next year, and 2020\u2019s\xa0SPACE\xa0cemented Brock as a bonafide solo artist. His newest single, the anthemic \u201cJust Like You\u2019ve Always Done,\u201d which is his first for Centricity Music, was co-written with\xa0Hank Bentley\xa0and\xa0Jessie Early. The song boasts of the consistency of God yesterday, today and forever.
\n\u201cIt\u2019s the launching pad of what we believe,\u201d Brock says of the fresh track. \u201cHe is the same as He\u2019s always been. He\u2019s the same God that\u2019s the lead character in all the stories we\u2019ve read in Scripture. He\u2019s still working miracles.\u201d
\nThe strength of Brock\u2019s new music rides on the hope he finds in the unfolding story his family is living. The South Carolina native and his wife, Meredith, who currently serves as the CEO of Proverbs 31 Ministries, have three children. From the unexpected joy discovered in foster parenting to leaving the known to pursue the unknown, Brock writes songs to remind his own heart and encourage others that there\u2019s an all-knowing God who is sovereign over it all and is worthy of all our praise.
\n\u201cWith my music, I\u2019m just trying to relive all the times God has shown up,\u201d he says. \u201cI want to use that as a catalyst to build my faith and, hopefully, encourage others in their faith for the future as well.\u201d
