Why are India and Japan not included in the AUKUS?

Published: Sept. 24, 2021, 4 a.m.

Many Western media consider the formation of the AUKUS as a major event with geopolitical significance equal to the fall of the Berlin Wall. Former US National Security Advisor John Bolton highly praised the move as sending a powerful message to China.

In my previous episode, I talked about how Australia with nuclear submarines would play a vital role in attacking Chinese shipping lanes in the Indian Ocean in the event of a major war.

Obviously, there are more than one angles in analysing such a significant event. In this episode, I will discuss the timing of the AUKUS announcement as well as the role of India and Japan.

This new Indo-Pacific security agreement not only shocked the Western world, but also puzzled many as to why the United Kingdom would go all the way to replace India as the Indo-Pacific security core of the alliance? Why is India, which is close at hand, abandoned? Why didn't the loyal Japan not enter the core circle of Indo-Pacific security?

I set up and operate this channel alone, hoping to share the real China with the world as well as clarify misconceptions and lies against China.

The continued development of China is the biggest game-changer in this century that affects all aspects of everyone’s lives. Embrace the change and seize the opportunity.
