In this episode, we chat with reality star and social media influencer Heather Martin about her experience on The Bachelor, her first kiss at age 22, the opportunities and obstacles of being watched on television and dealing with social media, and her perspective on dating before and after The Bachelor.

\u201cFor the most part, it\u2019s kind of like what I expected, and I think maybe I had to be a little too lightheartedly.\u201d

\u201cI really wasn\u2019t gonna give myself to someone or like really want to enter into that process unless I actually thought it was gonna be something, you know, more long-term.\u201d

\u201cI think that\u2019s why I have been so protective of my heart; I know what I\u2019m looking for\u2026 There\u2019s not a surplus of those type of men out there, so I think, I always just kind of saved that for whoever that person\u2019s gonna be.\u201d

\u201cI think the negative comments, and all these things were definitely the negative part of the show. It wasn\u2019t crazy but it definitely affects you, as much as you don\u2019t want it to or you say it won\u2019t, it does.\u201d

\u201cI still feel like I\u2019m in the process of learning social media because it\u2019s just so not natural to me\u2026 I still feel like a baby trying to learn.\u201d

\u201cWell that\u2019s super confusing, having people view you in one way, and then expect you to be that way.\u201d
[32:27] Transitioning as an Influencer
\u201cIt\u2019s kind of what I\u2019m doing full time now which has been fun, different, hard, and weird, but also like amazing in so many different ways.\u201d
[41:00] Influencer life
\u201cIt was never my dream, that\u2019s for sure, but now I\u2019m like \u2018this is my dream\u2019, which is awesome\u2026 I definitely feel there\u2019s a purpose behind it.\u201d

\u201cI think the biggest thing that I\u2019ve learned from the show is to be bold\u2026 I think that\u2019s been something I\u2019ve always wanted to be, but I always had these fears.\u201d

\u201cI really do not have a physical type at all\u2026 I really like confident and funny.\u201d
