MEDIA ADVISORY CAIR-Kansas to Join Community Groups in Call for Justice in Wayandotte County (KANSAS CITY, KS, 8/17/2020) – On Tuesday, August 18, the Kansas chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Kansas), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, will join other community organizations at a news conference in Kansas City, Kan., to demand that Wayandotte County officials re-open criminal cases in which they believe injustice took place. The cases in question involved a specific (now retired) police detective who has been implicated in corruption and abuse in other cases.
