Today’s topic is Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive”. A song released in 1978. It’s a popular disco anthem and a top selling song still in the minds of people. Still a song coming from the lips of people singing it and often remembered.

And you know Gloria Gaynor is a gospel singing lady too. She sang I will survive at MJ 30th Anniversary as if she were singing gospel. And it made me love the song even more. And made me feel the meaning more.

I notice that people who sing gospel can sing a song with feeling. They are great in reaching an audience. And that is what Gloria Gaynor is all about. When she sings “I Will Survive”, it makes me think of people all over the world trying to survive. It’s a song in my book never outdated because people are trying to survive everyday and every year.

The song “I Will Survive" was written by Dino Fekaris and Freddie Perren. Gloria Gaynor sings the song as if she wrote it herself. Dino and Freddie wrote a perfect song for her. It’s an awesome song with the right words and the right voice together.
