Emmy-winning comic Dwayne Kennedy talks about Chicagos comedy scene (Episode 828)
\u201cOut of the Loop\u201d is a new documentary about Chicago\u2019s stand-up comedy scene (available on streaming services 4/11/23).
The people speaking in the doc represent a \u201cwho\u2019s who\u201d of Chicago comedy, including Hannibal Buress, Jeff Garlin, Deon Cole, Erica Clark, Tom Dreesen, Chris Redd, Kyle Kinane and the late, wonderful, Judy Tenuta.
\xa0Joining me to talk about the documentary is its producer, the very funny Dwayne Kennedy (he also appears in the film). As I mention at the start of the interview, he\u2019s far too credentialed for this podcast. He won an Emmy for his work on CNN\u2019s United Shades of America. He wrote for the Arsenio Hall show and the Orlando Jones show. He\u2019s also appeared on Seinfeld and Martin. Dwayne\u2019s a very funny man.
