The Salt Lake Chamber · Speaking on Business: Women's Business Center of Utah This is Derek Miller Speaking on Business.  The Women's Leadership Institute, one of the organizations participating in the Stay Safe to Stay Open campaign, has the mission to elevate the stature of women's leadership in business and politics in Utah. CEO Patricia Jones is here to share details. Patricia Jones Utah ranks high on many national measures, unfortunately, we rank in the bottom on measures related to the status of women at a consistent rank. As a result, those low rankings harm Utah's ability to attract and retain talent. Six years ago some of Utah's key business leaders recognized the importance of elevating Utah women, and the Women's Leadership Institute was founded. A large portion of our effort at the Women's Leadership Institute is educating businesses about the value of gender diversity. One of the Institute's cornerstones is our trademarked ElevateHER Challenge. A research-based corporate challenge that seeks to empower women in the workplace. The Institute provides tools and in-depth cohort developmental training to help companies implement the ElevateHER Challenge and learn how to advance women's success in business.
