Speaking on Business: Driven to Assist

This is Derek Miller Speaking on Business. Along with its challenges the coronavirus has prompted us to take a look at what’s most important in life – health, family, and service to others. This spirit of engagement is behind the “Driven to Assist” blood drive sponsored by the Salt Lake Chamber and the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies. Here’s Amanda Covington to tell us more. AMANDA COVINGTON “Driven to Assist” offers us the opportunity to give something back to the community, particularly during the current health crisis. And it is easy to participate at the Vivint Smart Home Arena today and tomorrow. Go to slchamber.com and there you can make an appointment to give at your convenience. Donors must be 16 or older, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. Those under 18 must have parental consent. Please expect to have your temperature checked and wear a face mask when you arrive at the arena. Make sure you have an acceptable form of identification, and to expedite the process, please leave bags and backpacks at home. DEREK MILLER The American Red Cross, Utah Department of Health, ARUP, HCA Healthcare, Intermountain Healthcare, Steward Health Care, University of Utah Health, and the Downtown Alliances are also partners in the “Driven to Assist” blood drive, and we all look forward to seeing you today or tomorrow at the Vivint Smart home Arena. I’m Derek Miller with the Salt Lake Chamber, and this is Speaking on Business. Aired: June 4, 2020 and June 5, 2020.
