In this episode of The Building Freedom podcast, Randy tells the story of what led him down the path of entrepreneurship and helping other business owners grow their businesses. It all started when Randy got cut from his hockey at the age of 13, looking back he realized that this happened because he wasn't focused on getting better.
From that moment on he developed a lifelong desire to continue to strive for the highest level of everything he’s involved with. Fast Forward 10 years later, at the age of 23, Randy knew that he wanted to start a business but he also knew that there was a lot he didn’t know about the industry so he began learning everything he could for two years until he felt it was time to get his feet wet. Right off the bat, there was a problem, he had no money. Rather than giving up before he even got started Randy decided to sell his Ford Probe GT. This car was his pride and joy but Randy knew that he had to make sacrifices if he was ever going to achieve his dreams.
The first lesson he learned after getting started was that he couldn't do it alone so he started building a team and although it took a few years and a few bad hires, eventually he was able to surround himself with a team united under his vision of growth for the company. About five years into the business Randy hired his first business coach who gave him insights on how to operate the business in ways that he never imagined possible. Randy worked with that coach for 10 years before moving on to work with coaches that helped him take his game to an even higher level until he was eventually able to sell his business for multiple millions and start 4 Level coach, a business that teaches entrepreneurs the 4 levels of business and how to build a sellable business so that when the day comes that they are ready to move on, they can get compensated for the years of hard work put in over the years.
