If your area has hard water, you\u2019ll usually notice.\xa0 There will probably be whitish, yellowish or grayish deposits on shower heads and faucets and around drains, and sometimes even in toilet bowls.\xa0 These deposits are called limescale, scale or scaling, and are usually deposits of calcium and/or magnesium.\xa0 This scaling is a tell-tale sign of hard water.\xa0
It\u2019s said that about 85% of all households in the US have some degree of hard water.\xa0 Some of the hardest water in the country is found in the midwest.\xa0 Take look at the show notes at BYHYU.com to see a map showing the level of water hardness in different areas of the country.
