We had the pleasure of interviewing Ricky Reed over Zoom video.

Ricky Reed is a GRAMMY-Award winning and multi-platinum selling producer, songwriter, and artist, who is also the Founder and CEO of Nice Life Recording Company.

Nice Life Recording Company is Los Angeles-based record label and publishing company founded by Reed; their roster of clients includes Lizzo, The Mar\xedas, St. Panther, and more.

As CEO of Nice Life Recording Company, Ricky has\u2026

Discovered and launched Lizzo into superstardom, making her the first signee of the recording company in partnership with Atlantic Records

Signed and developed The Mar\xedas and worked to craft their debut album CINEMA, which earned them a GRAMMY nomination this past year for Best Engineered album. They\u2019ve gone on to play Coachella, sell out their headlining tour and will tour with Halsey and play Lollapalooza this summer. The album also netted a #1 radio single with \u201cHush\u201d

Worked to build out a staff for the label including executive level positions, as well as radio, streaming/sales, marketing and digital marketing roles, expanding the Nice Life footprint

Signed key rising talent including St. Panther, John Robert, and publishing clients like Nate Mercereau

Devoted time and attention to mental health, creating a non-recoupable mental health fund for roster artists

Produced Camila Cabello\u2019s \u201cBam Bam,\u201d featuring Ed Sheeran. The song reached number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, and peaked inside the Top 10 in over 15 countries, with Vulture calling it \u201ca bona fide breakup bop\u201d

Developed and co-produced 7 tracks on Lizzo\u2019s multi-platinum selling breakthrough album Cuz I Love You

Won two Grammy awards, including one for Lizzo\u2019s Cuz I Love You in 2020 (Best Urban Contemporary Album) and the second this past year for Jon Batiste\u2019s We Are (Album of the Year)

Produced tracks on albums including The Weeknd\u2019s After Hours & Leon Bridge\u2019s Gold-Digger\u2019s Sound

Ricky has produced Lizzo\u2019s latest album Special
