Interview with Pistols At Dawn
We had the pleasure of interviewing Pistols At Dawn over Zoom video!
Hard rock outfit\xa0PISTOLS AT DAWN\xa0have shared the second heavy-hitting single, \u201cCrown,\u201d from their debut EP\xa0NOCTURNAL YOUTH\xa0which is out now.
\u201c\u2018Crown\u2019 is about observing a majority of the world pursuing detrimental ways of life,\u201d jointly state\xa0PISTOLS AT DAWN. \u201cIt\u2019s about knowing better and seeing leadership continually fail those they lead. Too many in power are acting like foolish kings. \u2018Crown\u2019 is a push against apathy and ignorance and refusing to represent those ideologies. The video is a visual representation of the dystopian reality we find ourselves living in, a play on the pursuit of the \u2018golden idol,\u2019 and a rejection of the internal and external infrastructure that perpetuates this warped existence.\u201d
PISTOLS AT DAWN\xa0recently spoke to their hometown daily paper, the\xa0Atlanta Journal-Constitution, about the band\u2019s reformation after a brief hiatus following the passing of original guitarist\xa0Mike Buffa\xa0and the chemistry between founders\xa0Adam Jaffe\xa0(drums),\xa0Devin White\xa0(guitars) and\xa0Billy Sullivan\xa0(bass) with new members\xa0Tommy Richardson\xa0(guitars) and\xa0VH1 Rockstar Supernova\xa0finalist\xa0Chris Pierson\xa0(vocals) while recording their new EP.
NOCTURNAL YOUTH\xa0was recorded with producer\xa0Jeff Tomei\xa0(Smashing Pumpkins, Matchbox 20) and mastered by engineer\xa0Maor Appelbaum\xa0(Faith No More) and features four powerful and distinctive tracks which\xa0Outburn Magazine\xa0applaud for their \u201cinstantly catchy sing-along anthems and headbang inducing melodies.\u201d The EP\u2019s debut single \u201cVoices\u201d was released on\xa0March 5\xa0and was revered by\xa0Indie Pulse Music\xa0for its \u201ccatchy and powerful chorus.\u201d
