We had the pleasure of interviewing MAY-A over Zoom video!
Australian singer-songwriter, MAY-A, will recently released her new EP, ANALYSIS PARALYSIS.
You probably know MAY-A from her collab with Australian electronic superstar Flume, \u201cSay Nothing (Feat. MAY-A).\u201d The EP features focus track, \u201cGuilty Conscience,\u201d and previously released singles \u201cSweat You Out My System,\u201d \u201cYour Funeral,\u201d \u201cLOLA\u201d and \u201cSomething Familiar.\u201d The 7-track project also includes the brand new \u201cIfyoulikeitlikethat\u201d and \u201cSUPERIOR LIAR,\u201d while showing MAY-A\u2019s continued exploration and experimentation with new sounds and experiences.

The ongoing series of new releases follows an incredibly successful 2022 for MAY-A, which included her ARIA Award-nominated collaboration with Australian electronic superstar Flume, \u201cSay Nothing (Feat. MAY-A),\u201d which reached #12 on Billboard\u2019s \u201cHot Dance/Electronic Songs\u201d chart amidst a storm of high-profile media attention from Billboard, Complex and more. MAY-A joined Flume for performances of \u201cSay Nothing\u201d during show-stopping sets at last year\u2019s Coachella and Governors Ball as well as on his sold-out US and Australian headline tours. MAY-A also unveiled her own unique rendition, \u201cSay Nothing (MAY-A\u2019s Version),\u201d hailed by NME as \u201ca total tone shift from the duo\u2019s original, stripping out the song\u2019s driving beat and Flume\u2019s electronic elements. Instead, MAY-A opts for hauntingly hazy vocals, acoustic guitar and spacious, lo-fi production, letting the vulnerability of the song\u2019s lyrics shine through.\u201d
Nominated for Rolling Stone Australia\u2019s \u201cBest New Artist\u201d award and hailed by Billboard as \u201ca master class in indie pop,\u201d MAY-A made her extraordinary debut with 2021\u2019s acclaimed Don\u2019t Kiss Ur Friends.
