Rising star\xa0Kyla Carter's\xa0talent runs deep whether she is acting, singing, dancing, or performing on Broadway. Kyla is currently starring as \u2018CJ Suki\u2019 in the new
DreamWorks animated series \u201cTrollsTopia\u201d streaming on Hulu and Peacock.\xa0She can also be seen starring as the same character in the Netflix series \u201cTrolls The Beat Goes On\u201d. Kyla\u2019s single \u201cBecause You\u2019re You\u201d from Season 4 of the Netflix series soundtrack has\xa0become a hit with\xa0Trolls\xa0fans and beyond, garnering over 28K-streams on YouTube alone. As a singer/songwriter herself,\xa0Kyla recently released an\xa0original song \u201cAverage Puzzle Piece\u201d. True to Kyla\u2019s nature, the sweet song has messages encouraging self-love and building self-confidence. While Kyla\u2019s\xa0latest single \u201cHalf Full Half Empty\u201d\xa0takes a deeper dive into her uncanny lyrical ability, relaying a feeling many can relate to over the course of this pandemic.\xa0Kyla will next be releasing the emotional, pop power ballad \u201c3AM\u201d on June 18th\xa0(similar to the likings of Olivia Rodrigo).

Kyla\xa0was born and raised in Long Island, New York \u2013 where she took inspiration to become a performer from her icon\xa0Shirley Temple. She began her acting career at 5-years old when she was cast as \u2018Hattie the Witch\u2019 in the Nickelodeon animated series \u201cWallykazam!\u201d\xa0and \u2018Young Nora Durst\u2019\xa0in the HBO drama series \u201cThe Leftovers.\u201d With her passion for theatre arts, she began her Broadway career at 8-years old playing\xa0\u2018Gretl von Trapp\u2019 in\xa0\u201cThe Sound of Music\u201d (2015-2017), under three-time Tony Winner Jack O\u2019Brien. She then went on to play \u2018Susan Waverly\u2019 in the Broadway production of \u201cWhite Christmas\u201d (2018-2019).\xa0Overall, Kyla spent 18-months touring the U.S. and Canada, performed over 500 shows, visited 50 cities and 26 states, and never missed a day of work or school on the road. Outside of Broadway, Kyla\u2019s professional acting credits thus far include work for\xa0ABC, HBO, Nickelodeon, PBS, Netflix, Hulu, Peacock and NBCUniversal.\xa0

Kyla can next be seen singing and acting in the video/book series \u201cJunga the Dancing Yeti Meets Heidi,\u201d in which she voices the lovable leading role of \u2018Heidi\u2019. The character is a bright 6-year-old girl who values her family, friends, always likes to do the right thing, and along the way shares anti-bullying messages. Kyla co-wrote and provided the music for two songs in\xa0the upcoming YouTube/audiobook series \u2013 expected to release on May 25th.

When Kyla is not acting, she spends time writing her own original music, performing popular cover songs on her\xa0YouTube Channel, dancing, and modeling.\xa0During the pandemic, Kyla began her own podcast\xa0\u2018Kyla's Korner\u2019\xa0The podcast was featured weekly on\xa0\u2018The Mark White Show\u2019\xa0airing on Radio Alabama\u2019s KIX 96.3 FM/100.3 FM, and is still available on Kyla's Instagram and Facebook pages. Kyla\u2019s mission is to spread positivity and kindness to her community. She shares encouraging and motivational messages to her listeners with her motto being: \u2018Live life sunny side up!\u2019 She is an advocate for spreading sunshine and positivity wherever she goes. Kyla\xa0is truly an inspiration and positive role model for other young girls and boys during these unprecedented times.
