We had the pleasure of interviewing Flyana Boss over Zoom video!

Best friends and dynamic hip-hop duo Flyana Boss, recently released their EP Boffum. The triumphant and colorful two-song project is packed with infectious beats and power-punching vocals that jab with brazen notes of attitude and unmatched confidence. What began as two best friends exchanging freestyles over Youtube beats, has effortlessly grown into a bold and audacious career that shines light on being a woman through witty banter and laugh-out-loud lyricism.

The first song, \u201cReally Really\u201d, is a modern dating anthem that glorifies setting boundaries and vibing on your own. Flyana Boss urges, \u201cKick off your shoes but don\u2019t overstay your welcome.\u201d Written about loving yourself first, \u201cReally Really\u201d is a tongue-in-cheek act of reclamation that offers an inside glimpse into Flyana Boss\u2019 generation. \u201cNu Nu\u201d is about challenging expectations and surprising people when they least expect it. Flyana Boss brags, \u201cMama\u2019s got a brand new bag. Can\u2019t buy this at the store, you could never cop my swag.\u201d

If there\u2019s one thing that Flyana Boss hopes their listeners will take from Boffum, it\u2019s putting yourself first. In the face of adversity, you can always count on Flyana Boss to put the shoe on the other foot with a clever comedic dig and a fresh unabashed performance. BIO:

Hailing from Detroit, MI and Dallas, TX, MCs and multi-instrumentalists Bobbi Lanea and Folayan Kunerede met at a music college in Los Angeles, CA. They immediately hit it off and began collaborating with each other, eventually naming their group, Flyana Boss. Folayan and Bobbi create infectious, hip-hop anthems embodying the spirit of fly-ness and boss-ness. They aim to entertain, make you laugh, and always remind you that you are listening to the direct descendants of all the lady bosses that came before them through generations of humanity, from Cleopatra to Harriet Tubman to Michelle Obama to Beyonc\xe9!
