The swanky 10-story Midtown apartment house at 51 St. didn\u2019t exactly scream \u2018murder\u2019 when you strolled by. In fact, it was home to a glamorous celebrity couple of the stage and screen living the high life during the Roaring Twenties. However, on a warm June 9th in 1929 when shrieks were heard coming from the building, the NYPD didn\u2019t expect to find a Broadway star laying dead in her bed.
