A question: "What if an author of graphically violent horror stories also drew cartoons?"\n\nThat is answered by Thomas Malafarina, who has created\xa0Yes, I Smelled it, Too,\xa0a series of single panel cartoons that would make\xa0The Far Side\xa0and\xa0Bizarro\xa0appear sane! Thomas' drawings are influenced by\xa0Peanuts, but also the artists of MAD Magazine\xa0and others, and, like in his other works, he pushes the envelope with a unique sense of humor.\xa0\n\nOne of the most prolific authors on the Sunbury Press roster, Thomas Malafarina joins host Lawrence Knorr to discuss his new series, but also his lengthy works of horror and suspense. Among these,\xa0What Waits Beneath, Burner, From the Dark,\xa0as well as the\xa0Dead Kill\xa0series. Malafarina's work has also appeared in more than 200 anthologies and e-magazines. He also tells of the origins of unique characters, such as Janitor Joe, Jimmy & Squish, and Buttonface.\n\nMuch of his work is set and influenced by his upbrining in northeast Pennsylvania, especially his hometown of Ashland.
