Mickey Maguire saw, and did a great deal in the first quarter century of his life, as detailed in "Feather White". This memoir of Maguire's turbulent upbringing and a search for direction and purpose led this Atlantic City, New Jersey native to working scallop boats on the always-dangerous North Atlantic, to finding peace living "off the grid" before anyone knew the term in 1970s Nova Scotia.\n\nMaguire takes us through his early life in dealing with an alcoholic father and trouble, to Provincetown, Massachusetts and the Maritimes. He tells of the characters he met, and how through love, marriage, music and relationships, on the way to peace long sought.\n\nMickey Maguire joins Lawrence Knorr on the Sunbury Press Books Show to tell his story, in the book "Feather White."
