Set in the Philadelphia area, Valerie Sloan must track down a museum-piece axe, deal with her twisted family history and come face to face with foreign organized crime.\n\nSandy is a former librarian, fabric inspector and clerk, among many\xa0careers. Her musician husband Bill inspired the heroine of the series.
