Gender equity can't happen without racial equity. We need Shared Sisterhood.
Our guest today is Dr Beth A. Livingston, Associate Professor in Management and Entrepreneurship at the University of Iowa's Tippie College of Business.
Beth's research interests lie primarily in gender, diversity, and the management of work and family. Her best-selling book, Shared Sisterhood is a blueprint for taking collective action for racial and gender equity in the workplace.
Shared Sisterhood outlines how individuals from historically power-dominant and marginalized groups (such as ethnic minorities) must work together so that all women experience the benefits of professional growth and equity.
